Skillorea ("we", "our" or "us") is committed to safeguarding the privacy of educators, schools and students. This Privacy Policy provides an overview of how Skillorea Teacher Copilot obtains, processes, and protects information when you utilize our web application and mobile application to design question papers, lesson plans, worksheets and use AI test evaluations.

1. Information We Collect

During registration, you will be using Account Details which include Name, Email ID, Phone Number, School/Institution Name, Board Name (CBSE/State Board/Matriculation), and Account Details.

Teacher-Generated Content: Prompts, Syllabus Selection, Blueprints, Customized Question Papers, Lesson Plans, and Worksheets stored in your workspace.

Assessment & Student Evaluation Data: Student answers, test scores, rubric preferences, and feedback produced in the AI test evaluations.

Usage & Device Data: Log data, IP address, device type, browser settings, and interaction logs to enhance the performance of the app and system reliability.

We gather data that is reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and improve Skillorea Teacher Copilot.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create custom question papers, lesson plans and worksheets based on the syllabus chosen.
• To receive and provide automatic grading and feedback through our AI test evaluator.
• To manage user accounts, subscription plans and customer support.
• To review platform performance, i.e., technical bugs, and to optimize system speed.
• For security and reliability of our platform.
• To identify, prevent and inquire about unauthorized access, misuse, fraud or other security issues.
• To inform users of key updates related to the services.

3. Student Data & Academic Privacy

Minimization: We do not need personally identifiable student information (PII) to create learning materials or score tests. Teachers must not provide students' personal data if it is not necessary for the use of the platform.

No Commercial Profiling: We do not sell, rent or monetize student or teacher data, nor make advertising profiles based on student assignments or test papers that are submitted.

Data Isolation: All assessments of tests and Question Papers are confidential to the associated Teacher/Institution account with access restricted to authorised users and subject to legal requirements.

Teacher Responsibility: Teachers and institutions must make sure they are authorized to send student information/assessment data to Skillorea.

Student Information: Only information reasonably necessary for the educational purpose should be submitted, for example when using features such as AI Test Evaluation.

4. AI Processing

Skillorea Teacher Copilot uses artificial intelligence to provide features such as lesson plan generation, worksheet creation, question paper generation, AI assistance, and AI test evaluation.

Skillorea and authorized technology providers that are required to provide AI-powered services may process information submitted to the AI-powered features on Skillorea, such as the prompts, uploaded documents, question papers, worksheets, and assessment responses.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that third-party providers of AI or technology are processing information for only authorised purposes and in accordance with relevant agreements and privacy requirements.

Skillorea does not incorporate teacher and student content to train third-party AI models without notice to users and as allowed by the applicable terms.

5. Data Security & Storage

We apply adequate technical and organizational security measures, such as encryption or access controls as appropriate, to ensure user data, academic archives and grades are secure.

Access to our databases and systems can only be obtained by authorized persons, services, and systems who need to access them to perform certain functions on the platform.

We take reasonable steps to safeguard information but no internet-based service can be entirely secure.

6. Third-Party Services

We use secure cloud hosting providers, authentication service providers, AI technology providers, payment service providers and others that are necessary to run Skillorea.

These third parties might process information on our behalf and should do so in line with the agreements and privacy requirements applicable.

The information of teachers or students provided to Skillorea does not permit third-party service providers to use it for purposes outside of the scope of the services provided, in accordance with applicable law and contractual conditions.

7. Cookies & Similar Technologies

Skillorea may use cookies and other technologies to:

• Maintain users' connection and provide secure sessions.
• Remember user preferences.
• Know how to use platforms and enhance the user experience.
• Monitor performance and technical issues.
• Detect and prevent unauthorized activity.

Depending on the offer, controls for non-essential cookies can be made available to the users.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

Skillorea will only collect and store personal information and content created by Teachers for as long as is reasonably necessary to deliver the Services, administer user accounts, maintain saved resources, ensure compliance with legal requirements, resolve disagreements, protect the security of Skillorea and enforce our agreements.

Content that has been saved can be deleted via available dashboard controls (if available).

The information that has been deleted could be temporarily stored in secure backups prior to permanent deletion in alignment with our backup and retention policy.

If it is not needed anymore, we can delete it, anonymize or securely dispose of it as required.

9. School & Institution Accounts

If the school, educational institution, or other organization subscribes to Skillorea, then the administration of the school, institution or organization can provide access to some information and manage teacher accounts based upon the school's subscription and account configuration and policies.

The educational institutions are responsible for making sure that the use of Skillorea is authorized by their internal policies and applicable requirements.

Skillorea reserves the right to enter into separate agreements with schools and/or institutions where necessary for data processing, data security and other privacy requirements.

10. Children's & Student Privacy

Skillorea Teacher Copilot is mainly for teachers, educators, schools and accredited education institutions.

Teachers are not to provide any unnecessary personally identifying information about students.

If student information is processed using features like AI Test Evaluation, teachers and institutions must ensure that they are empowered enough to give such information to Skillorea.

Personal details for some of the most basic features, like creating lesson plans, worksheets, or question papers, are not required for Skillorea.

11. Your Rights & Data Control

Your saved question papers, lesson plans and grading history can be edited, exported or deleted at any time from your dashboard, where you'll find these controls.

You can request your account be deleted and that any personal and academic information be removed (as applicable under legal and/or retention requirements) with support.

Additionally, you may request access to your personal information and/or correction of it, subject to the law that may apply.

Withdrawal of consent is possible in the event of processing based on consent, subject to the provisions of the law and the conditions of the Services.

Complaints and grievances about privacy may be made to us.

12. Legal & Regulatory Disclosures

Skillorea may share information when it is reasonably necessary to:

• Follow any legislation or legal requirements that may apply.
• Comply with requests of the lawful government and/or regulatory bodies.
• Ensure the safety, security and rights of Skillorea, users or others.
• Investigate fraud, misuse or security incidents.
• Follow our Terms and Conditions.
• Stop unauthorized access and other destructive activities.

13. International Data Processing

Skillorea may utilize cloud infrastructure, AI services, and technology service providers that are based in India or other countries.

We will take reasonable steps to ensure that where personal information is processed or stored outside of India, it is processed according to the laws, contractual requirements and our security practices.

14. Security Incidents

Skillorea implements security procedures to protect the personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

Should we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will determine and respond to that incident in accordance with the relevant laws and our incident-response protocols.

In cases where it is required, the necessary notification will be made to the affected users, institutions or authorities.

15. AI-Generated Content & Evaluation

Skillorea leverages AI to help educators create educational content and evaluate it.

There may be errors or inaccuracies in the lesson plans, worksheets, papers, answer keys, marks and feedback and the results of the evaluation and assessment shall not be deemed accurate.

However, teachers are advised to review the content of AI products and the results of assessments prior to their use as official education products.

The AI tools provided by Skillorea are designed to help teachers, not replace them, in making academic decisions or using their judgment.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy can be updated at any time to comply with changes in our Services, technology, AI capabilities, data practices, security measures, or requirements.

If a new copy is available, it will be posted here with a new "Last Updated" date.
